Family Reunion of 2009

The Williams of Sanson Family Reunion was held in New Zealand over Labour Weekend, 24th-26th October 2009. This was the 100th anniversary year of the family reunion at the 1909 Golden Wedding of George & Annie Williams.

Approximately 80 family members attended, including some from Australia and Canada.

The highlight was the reunion dinner on the Saturday evening, including cutting the specially made reunion cake.

Visits to the cemetery where many of the family are buried, a visit to the old original house in Cemetery Rd. Sanson, a special church service and formal photos of each family group were amongst the activities held over the weekend.

A book, "Stories My Mother Never Told Me", the history of the Williams family, compiled by Malcolm Blow - another great grandson of George and Annie Williams - was made available to attendees.
